Sam Barker graduated from the prestigious London School of Printing. Within a short period Sam's work was spotted by The Observer, The Telegraph, and GQ Magazine. It was not long before his work was picked up by renowned advertising agencies.
In 2004, Sam had his first major exhibition, 'Faces', followed by 'Inside Out' in 2006. Currently 10 of Sam's photographs are featured in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery. Sitters include Joe Calzaghe, Tony Alexander Adams & Oliver Bernard.
Over the last couple of years Sam spent time in Iraq photographing the emergency services, where he produced a series of striking images depicting the men & women who dedicate their lives to supporting the casualties of war. In the Darien Gap he got to travel to find the Embera tribe and ask about their views on if the Pan American Highway was ever to be completed; and in Bhutan where he visited the renowned Buddhist temple known as The Tiger's Nest, photographed its monks and other local people.
His current campaigns include the celebrity driven Hugo Boss fragrance ads: Sam had the pleasure to photograph Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Mika, and Marco Melandri, to name a few. Additional commissions include Kellogg's, Virgin, Fiat, Formula 1 and Land Rover.
